WisconsinHauntedHouses.com recently sat down with Mark Cropsey of Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls, to discuss what's new at Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls for the 2018 Halloween Season! Located in Eagle River, this haunted attraction has an all new location for this year, and fresh and frightening scares for thrill seekers to enjoy. Read below to find out what you're in for!

What's new at Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls for 2018? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

New Location! We are excited to have a permanent building for Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls. Come find us downtown Eagle River Wi at 215 S. Railroad St. There will be plenty of new scares and some of the old great ones too!

What are you most excited about for the 2018 Halloween Season?

Excited to be back haunting after 2 yrs off and excited to be at a new location. And excited to be working with the local musical and drama productions students.

What differentiates Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls from other local haunts in Wisconsin?

There are a small number of other haunted attractions in the area. We are not your typical small town haunt or friendly club haunt. We scare you! Whatever your age it is our job to scare you. We don't hold back for young or old.

How long has Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls's history?

We first opened in 2014. Opening in the Laser Tag building of Eagle Falls Adventure Golf and Laser Tag. After two years of setting up and breaking down.. we knew we needed a permanent location that could be worked on all year if necessary and possibly open for additional nights thru the year. We took a two year break to work on other projects and now are back with a permanent location and ready to SCARE!

What's your favorite experience since opening Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls?

We love the reaction from our guests who are surprised at how fantastic of a haunt we put on and they really appreciate all the hard work that goes into it. We exceed their expectation of a small town haunted house!

How long is a typical haunt experience at Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls from start to finish?

Depending on the waiting time... it's hard to say. The closer to Halloween we get, the busier it will be at the haunted house and the lines will be longer. We make it fun so expect to see some characters outside in the line! Expect the walk thru of the actual haunted house to take from 10-15 min. Lines in previous years were wait times from 10 min to as long as 2 hours during our busy nights. But well worth it! We have concessions to keep you from getting hungry and hanging out with your friends, anticipating a good scare is always fun!

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls is? Why?

Does Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

It is certainly an older building and we hope it has a haunted history. But we’ll have to investigate to find out for sure. If it doesn’t have a haunted history or any old haunted encounters then we’ll start making them now. And many years from now people will talk about how this building became a haunted house in 2018! 

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

I worked in a haunted house when I was in high school, was active in a local Lions Club haunt about 15 yrs ago.. and we basically just enjoy the creative side and finding new ways to scare people.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls?

You'll have to wait and see! Or hear!

Can Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls together as a group?

We like to keep the groups small. 4-5 people is best. Haunted houses are best when everyone in the group gets to experience the scare. More people don't always make it better!

Does Evil Falls House of Tormented Souls offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?

You may find some promotions on FB for free tickets, maybe a radio station give away as it gets closer to the season opening.
